All causes will definitely be good causes and perceived as definitively hopelessly lost. The causes that we take will be the result (at least in part) of hypocrisy, abuse of power and Kafkaesque bureaucracy and concern the plight of a single individual against the onslaught of society's grinding machinery. As our Lord Brian said; "We are all individuals, Amen". Our six weapons will be deniability, humour, openness, truth, translation and the Internet. And FUD.

The Bureau of Lost Causes Manifesto
- We will strive with all our energy to present the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
- We cannot guarantee truth, but journalists are invited to check everything we present as truth.
- We promise to instantly correct any untrue facts presented by us.
- We will scrupulously try to keep our opinions and interpretations separate from the facts which we have at our disposal.
- No-one pursuing his or her own lost cause(s) will be permitted to sit on our Board. We are not a revenge-seeking organisation, we are a truth-seeking organisation.
